Race side by side

You each get a different board with the exact same difficulty, and you can watch each other play live. Every board can be solved by logic alone, so luck never decides a game.

Quick questions

Good to know

Is it actually fair?

Yes. Each player gets their own board, but both boards have the same size, the same number of mines and the same 3BV, which is the minimum number of clicks needed to clear a board. Every board can be solved without guessing, so the only difference between you and your opponent is speed and accuracy. Because the boards are different, watching your opponent never helps you.

How do I play with a friend?

Click Create a match and send your friend the link or the 6-character code. They can open the link, or press Play and choose Join with a code. Private matches don't change anyone's rating.

Do I need an account?

No. You can practice, play a Quick match, or join a friend's match as a guest. You need an account (Discord or Google) to play Ranked and to create a private match.

What if nobody is online for Ranked?

If nobody near your rating is looking, you race a recorded run of a real player at your level, replayed click by click and clearly labeled. Your rating moves the same way it would against them live. You never race the same run twice, and bots never count for rating.

What happens if I hit a mine?

You lose that round. Matches are best of 3, so one mistake won't end the whole match.

Is it free?

Yes. Play as many matches as you like.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Tap to open a cell, and long-press to place a flag.

Can people cheat?

The board is kept on our server and cells are revealed only as you click them, so there's nothing in the browser to peek at. If you think someone is cheating, open their profile and press Report.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, any time: click your name, then Delete account. It removes everything, including your recordings. See the privacy policy for what we keep and why.

Ready?

Think you're fast?

Race a bot in 30 seconds, or challenge a friend to a best of 3.
